It’s only fitting that the Dubailand Uber project is being constructed in Dubai as the city is known for its ambitious projects, so it may be difficult for it to succeed anywhere else (the name Dubailand might not be easy to sell elsewhere). 45 mega projects and 200 sub-projects are planned for this development, bringing ambition to a whole new level. When completed, it will include real estate, tourism, hospitality, entertainment and leisure components, offering endless opportunities across different parts of the local economy. Living in Dubailand can involve properties of many varieties, shapes and sizes, each with its own characteristics. Real estate projects range from more affordable options such as Mudon, The Villa, Al Waha and Remraam communities, to high-end villa developments such as the exclusive Al Barari project, and Akoya, a luxury villa community set around a landscaped golf course. City of Arabia is a stand alone, mixed-use community, offering urban apartment living, which aims to minimise the use of cars. Nearby Falcon City of Wonders is another self-contained city project, featuring villas and townhouses, commercial centres, theme parks, sports facilities and schools. It’s designed in the shaped of a falcon and contains replicas of the seven modern wonders of the world. Eating, drinking and shopping
Dubailand developments often have commercial areas with shops, cafes, and restaurants. There are various mall areas in City of Arabia and Falcon City of Wonders ranging in size from the modest Mudon Community Centre to larger mall areas. You never have to go far to find a handy store, whether it’s a small grocery store or asupermarket. Along Al Qudra Road, there are several retail parks and restaurants with fine dining to choose from, including Arabian Ranches and The Village Community Mall. The Farm at Al Barari offers fine dining in leafy surroundings. There is a steak and seafood restaurant at the Equestrian & Polo Club nearby, as well as a more casual eatery. Splash Pool Bar and a modern cocktail bar/cigar lounge can be found at the Club.
Most Dubailand projects are situated on the land between two major highways, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E311) and Emirates Road (E611), with several clustered around Al Qudra Road near Arabian Ranches. These major highways give residents easy access to Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Sharjah and the Northern Emirates. It’s just a short drive to Sheikh Zayed Road and the Mall ofEmirates.
A day on the town
Among Dubailand’s attractions are Falcon City of Wonders, where you can see the world in a single day – check out the Gardens of Babylon, see the Eiffel Tower, and take a picture where it looks like you’re holding up the Leaning Tower of Pisa (not very original, but fun). Al Qudra Road is close to golf courses such as Akoya, Jumeirah Golf Estates, and Arabian Ranches Golf Club. Victoryalso offers a championship course at The Els Club. Swimming pools, walking, and jogging are also available. The area is filled with gyms, spas, and sports facilities. Emirates Road (E611) and Hamdan Sports Complex (E611) are both nearby.
From primary to secondary
Arabian Ranches has several schools and others nearby. Ranches Nursery and Primary School, Raffles Nursery, JESS (Jumeirah English Speaking School) Primary and Secondary, Raffles International School, Gems World Academy, and the American School of Dubai are among these schools. In addition to Falcon City of Wonders and City of Arabia.bus, there are other options planned.
